This Week at WABC

Pastor Marc and Lady Cyndi wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. We will resume Bible Study next week (January 4th).

Join us for New Years Eve Service Saturday night at 10:30 PM.

New Years Day service begins at 11:00 AM (there will be no Sunday School that morning).

We invite you to stay after service on New Years Day for our "Tailgate Party". There will be a showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins, in honor of the rivalry between Pastor Marc (the Eagles fan) and certain WABC trustees (the Redskins fans). Everyone is asked to bring their favorite "tailgate dish" and wear their team jerseys and join in the fun. Let's Get Ready To RUMBLE!!!!

This Week at WABC

WABC will have joint services on Wednesday night with Bethel Baptist Church, Union United Church and Mount Lebanon BC (Campostella Rd, Norfolk) at 7 PM. Service will take place at Mt. Lebanon, Union United is in charge.

There will be no noonday or Wednesday night bible study this week. Noonday bible study will resume on January 11, 2012. Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church will be in fellowship with us.

Diane Robinson and Nicole Fults will be packing up our Christmas baskets for distribution this Thursday. If you would like to donate items to our Food pantry please contact Raymond or Marilyn Caffee if you have donations.

Join the Youth Ministry this Friday as we bless the sick and shut in members with a Christmas Caroling Tour. Please speak with Erica Morrison or Thomasine Flores for more info.

Christmas Day service will take place at 10 AM this coming Sunday. There will be no Sunday School that morning. New Years Eve Service will take place at 10:30 pm. New Years Day service will be held at 11:00 AM (no Sunday school that day).

Mid-Week Announcements!


WABC would like to thank Glen Spence for coming out and speaking to our youth this week during our Youth Revival.

WABC family it's not over! Join us tonight (and again Thursday night) at 7 pm as we close out our Revival Week celebration. Pastor Casper of Bethel Baptist Church in Norfolk will be our guest speaker.

Pastor Marc will close out revival for Mount Olivet Baptist Church (1301 Church Street) Virginia Beach VA this Friday at 7 pm.

WABC will celebrate it's annual "Homecoming" this coming Sunday at 2:30 pm. Pastor Marc will be speaking. The WABC member who brings the most guest will receive a special gift!

We made it back safe and sound from a fun filled week at WDW with family and friends. Special thanks goes out to Pastor Rob for speaking on 2nd Sunday and to Rev. Clyde Lacewell of Fourth Baptist Church, Portsmouth for speaking on 3rd Sunday while Pastor Marc took time out for rest and relaxation.

This Week at WABC


Join us Wednesday Nights at 6:30 PM for prayer, praise, food and fellowship. We are studying the book of Luke. Noonday Bible study will resume in September.

Join us Sunday mornings at 10 AM for Sunday School. We offer free coffee, and donuts between classes. Children's Church is held during our 11:30 AM worship service (on 1st, 3rd and 4th Sunday's).

Thank you goes out to Deacon Ed and all of the men and women who have been diligently working on the kitchen, fellowship hall and bathrooms. You can now see some of the "home improvements" on our facebook page!

Next Sunday is Men's Day at WABC. Our guest speaker for the afternoon will be Rev. Haynes of Monticello Baptist Church, Norfolk.

WABC is hosting a trip to see a play on August 6th. The cost is $70.00 per person (includes the play, transportation and buffet lunch). For more info speak with Raymond Caffee, Richard Parker or Calonia Fults.

Lexis Flores and Jared Stevens attended Worth The Wait this past weekend at Churchland High School. The three day conference addressed the subject of abstinence. The two teens were accompanied by Lady Cyndi Jennings, Marquisha Jennings and Martinique Jennings. Jared will be submitting an overview of his thoughts from the conference on our youth page soon.
