This Week at WABC


Join us Wednesday Nights at 6 PM for Prayer, Praise, Food, Fellowship and a Relevant word.

Join us on Sunday mornings at 10 AM for Sunday Morning Bible Study. Free coffee, donuts and hot tea are available before and after class.

The Trustees will meet tonight at 7 PM.

Deacon and Deaconess meet this Tuesday (not Thursday as previously stated) at 7PM.

Registration has begun for VBS 09 at WABC. You can register on-line or immediately following Sunday Morning Worship Service in our church fellowship hall. If you are interested in volunteering for VBS please see our VBS Director, Calonia Fults for more info.

WABC will travel to Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church on next Sunday, May 17th at 3:30 PM for their Congregational Life Ministry Anniversary.

The men and women will have a separate Bible Study on Wednesday May 20th. This is all part of our Women's Weekend Experience. The break out session will begin immediately following our time of worship and dinner. Ladies get ready to be "Refreshed in Jesus". Our bible study facilitator will be our very own Deaconess Jenette Sapp.

Young ladies (between the age of 12-28) get ready for your special "Girl's Night Out" dinner on Friday May 22nd at 7 PM in the church fellowship hall. "You We're Designed to Shine". This event is free and open to the young ladies along with their mother's.
WABC Women get ready to be refreshed in Jesus at our Women's Ministry "HeartSpa" Workshop which will be held on May 23rd. Those of you who signed up for this event are asked to arrive promptly that morning at 8:30 AM so that you may sign in and receive your workshop bags. Please bring your bibles, a washcloth and a bath towel with you. We will provide everything else that you will need. See you there ladies!

Women's Day is May 24th. Our speaker will be Rev. Dr. Pamela Chandler Lee of Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Chase City VA. Our women's Day Theme is " Healing Heart's: Finding Rest In Jesus". Our women's day colors are purple and sage green.

Tickets are now available for the Clara Ellis Scholarship Banquet. The banquet will be held on Saturday June 27th at 3 PM at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk VA. This Year's Theme: "WABC Scholars know E=MC2: Excellence-"s Making Christ the Center of Your Life". Tickets for the banquet as well as nominee applications are now available. The cost of the tickets are $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for children. Deadline for this event is June 14th. You can leave a message at the church office or via email.
