May Events


May is a busy month at WABC. There are many opportunities to invite your family and friends to join us in service.

This Sunday is communion Sunday as well as our annual Friends & Family Day. Join us at our 11:30 AM service.

May 12th is Mothers Day. Our speaker will be Lady Cyndi. Come hear about "A Daughter's Love". Service begins at 11:30 AM.

May 19th our Women's Ministry will celebrate its annual Women's Day service in our 11:30 AM service. Rev. Catherine Harris, associate minister at Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Virginia Beach VA will be our speaker. Women are encouraged to wear their favorite hat and matching outfit in honor of the day! Our theme this year is "Women Delighting In God's Grace"!

Join us on Wednesdays at 12 noon or 7 PM for Wednesday Nite Bible study. A free meal is served before the 7 PM study.

Have you visited our Cafe? We serve free coffee and donuts before our 11:30 service and snacks can be purchased immediately following our 11:30 service.

Please consider donating to our Food Pantry. Food from the pantry goes to aid our local Foodbanks in the area. You can receive additional info on this by speaking with Raymond or Marilyn Caffee.

Thank you Dr. Clark and the members of Union United Church of Christ for helping our Missions Ministry celebrate our Missions anniversary.

Congratulations goes out Nicole Daye who will be graduating with a Master's Degree this coming Saturday from Norfolk State University!

Upcoming Events at WABC

 
Join us this Sunday as the Missions Ministry celebrates its anniversary. Pastor Linda Clark and the members of Union United Church of Christ will be our guest.
 
We invite you to join us Mothers Day for our 11:30 service. Lady J will be our speaker that day.
 
The Women's Ministry will host our annual Women's Day service on Sunday May 19th during our 11:30 AM service. Rev. Catherine Harris, associate minister at Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Virginia Beach will be our guest speaker.

This Week at WABC


Just a reminder that there will be a Deaconette Ministry meeting tonight at 7 pm!

Join us for Bible Study Wednesdays at noon, or that evening at 7 PM. Our evening Bible Study begins with a free meal to all who who like to attend at 6:30 PM. Come join us for food, fellowship and a relevant word!

Pastor Marc and the members of WABC will travel to Gloucester VA on Sunday afternoon to help Union Zion Baptist Church celebrate its Family and Friends Day service. If you would like to ride please contact one of the deacons.

Sunday April 28th the Missions Ministry will celebrate its anniversary. Rev. Dr. Linda Clark and the members of Union United Church of Christ will be our guest.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our Easter Eggstravaganza and would like to send a special shout out to our Youth Ministry staff for all of their hard work that day.

Group photos from the Easter service will be available this coming Sunday.

Please be sure to check out our WABC Cafe on Sunday mornings. Free coffee and donuts are available before service begins. Chips and Soda's can be purchased at the Cafe window. Just ask for Judy.

Raymond and Marilyn Caffee are still collecting donations for our Food pantry. Donations from the pantry go to help support our local Foodbanks.

Join Us Easter Sunday


We invite you to join us Easter Sunday at 11:30 AM for a time of fellowship, fun and a relevant word. WABC family make sure to invite your family and friends to join us that day. We offer free coffee and donuts before service. Our youth ministry will host its annual Easter Eggstravaganza during service in our Children's Church, and just like last year we are offering a free group photo to anyone who would like to take one. Who knows there may even be a free gift for the person who invites the most guest to attend service with them that day! Our services are family friendly and we invite you to come as you are. We are a Real Church, Serving the Real God, Reaching out to Real people, to effect Real change!

Upcoming Events


WABC will travel this coming Sunday to Union United Church of Christ for their Anniversary. Pastor Marc is the guest speaker.

The Youth Ministry is now accepting donations of candy and plastic eggs for our Easter Eggstravaganza! Please drop donations off to Calonia Fults or Thomasine Flores on Sunday. You can also drop donations off on Wednesday during noon day or the evening study.

Please join us for our Wednesday Bible Study. Either during our noon day lesson or in the evening at 7 PM. You are invited to join us for a free meal at 6:30 PM before the evening study begins.

If you would like to contribute to our Food Pantry which benefits those in our community please speak with Raymond or Marilyn Caffee for more info ( you can leave a message on the churches answering machine).

We invite you to join us on March 31st for our Easter Sunday Celebration. Service begins at 11:30 AM.

What's New at WABC



Changes will soon be coming to our WABC website ( including a new web address) so stay tuned!

Join us this morning during our 11:30 AM service as Pastor Marc discusses "Turning The World Upside Down"!

There will be a Staff Meeting this Tuesday at 7 pm.

Special thanks goes out to Calonia Fults for cooking during bible study the month of February so that Pastor Marc could take a break!

We invite you to join us for noonday Bible Study on Wednesday or our Evening study at 7 pm ( dinner is served at 6:30 pm and is free to everyone who attends).

You are welcome to stay for our special Black History presentation this afternoon following our morning service.

We encourage anyone who would like to contribute to our food pantry to please contact Raymond or Marilyn Caffee for more info.

Pastor Marc would like to thank everyone who sent greetings, cards and gifts to him for his 50th birthday! Lady J would like to thank everyone for their prayers during her recovery. You are loved WABC family!
