Music Ministry Anniversary



Please join us on Sunday May 30th at 4 PM as WABC celebrates its Music Ministry Anniversary Concert. Our guest will be the MGM Tri-County Choir under the direction of John Smith. A light repast will be served immediately following the service.

This Week at WABC



Join us on Wednesday for weekly bible study, food, fellowship, prayer and praise at 6PM. We are studying the Book of Luke. We also offer noon day bible study on Wednesday. Topic of conversation The Gospel According to John.

Join us Sunday mornings at 10 AM for Sunday Morning Bible Study. We offer free coffee and donuts before and after Sunday school class.

The Clara Ellis Scholarship Ministry is sponsoring a "Dime Drive" to boost funds used to aid our students.The winner will receive a special gift. For more info please speak with Sarah Russell.

Please remember to contribute to our Food Bank Drive. For more info please speak with Raymond or Marilyn Caffee.

Ladies, we are looking forward to seeing those of you who signed up for our Sweet Life Cafe. Check in begins Saturday morning at 8:30 AM. If you would like to participate in the Facial/Foot Session please be sure to bring a towel with you.

Following our morning service WABC will travel at 3 PM with Pastor Marc to celebrate the Ushers Anniversary with Dr. Isaac McDonald and the congregation of Providence United Church of Christ.

Baptism is scheduled for 5th Sunday immediately following our Sunday morning worship service.

This Week at WABC

There will be an All Staff Meeting this Tuesday at 7 PM.

There will not be a Wednesday Night Bible Class this week. All trustees, deacons, and financial staff are asked to meet with the Pastor at 7 PM.

Choir rehearsals are now being held on Thursday evening at 7 PM. For more info speak with Minister Gunn.

WABC Women's Day



Join us for our Annual Women's Day Celebrations on Sunday May 23rd during our 11:30 AM worship service. Our speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Pamela Chandler Lee, of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Chase City Virginia. WABC women we will be wearing pink in honor of the occasion.

Just a reminder that next Sunday is the last day to sign up for our Women's Day experience that will be held on Saturday May 22nd. We will be joined by several dynamic facilitators. Rev. Catherine Harris of Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Deanna Johnson of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chesapeake VA. Bettie Greene from Messiah Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, VA. Ladies get ready for our Women's Weekend Experience which will be held May 22nd and May 23rd. There will be an all day workshop on Saturday May 22nd entitled "The Sweet Life Cafe" where women come and Savor the Sweet Life! Savor time with God, Savor time with friends and Savor moments spent serving others. You will leave this workshop feeling nourished, satisfied, and full of the bread of life. The cost of this event is $20.00 per person (this includes continental breakfast and lunch). Followed by our Annual Women's Day service on Sunday May 23rd at 11:30 AM. Our speaker will be the Rev. Pamela Chandler Lee, of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Chase City Virginia.

Ladies interested in attending the WOF Conference in August need to speak with June James about securing your ticket. We have ten tickets available at a cost of $89.00 per person (this does not include transportation, or hotel cost). A deposit is due no later then May 1st. We have room for 4 more ladies!

Thank you to everyone who traveled last week in support of Mother Nannie King to the the Ways and Means Committee of the Tidewater Baptist Missionaries annual King and Queen Pageant. We also thank all of those who attended the spring revival for the Layman's division of the Old Dominion General Missionary Baptist Association.
