Pastor Marc and Lady J are on vacation 2nd and 3rd Sunday. Rev. Kevin Stanley, Associate minister at Enoch BC spoke today during our Youth Sunday service. Pastor Rob will speak next Sunday during our 11:30 service.
We are still collecting supplies for our annual backpack drive. If you would like to donate you can drop off supplies at the church on Sunday mornings. If you would like to make a monetary donation you can make a check out to Woodland Ave Baptist Church. Nicole Daye is our contact person.
Noon day Bible Study and Evening Bible Study will resume in September.

The Ushers and Hospitality Ministry will celebrate their anniversary on Sunday, August 25th. Our guest will be Rev. John Blackwell and The Way, The Truth and The Light Church.

Pastor Marc and Lady J will celebrate their 5th year at WABC on November 9th and 10th. The church will be holding a luncheon in their honor on Saturday November 9th at 2 pm at New Hope CCC Norfolk. The cost of this event is $30.00 per person. If you would like to attend you can send a check to Woodland Ave Baptist Church, 2736 Woodland Ave, Norfolk VA 23504.
We will wrap up the celebration on Sunday November 10th during our 11:30 am service and a special Anniversary service that afternoon at 2:30 pm. Rev. Clyde Lacewell, Associate Minister at Fourth Baptist Church Norfolk will speak in the morning. Pastor Charles Beamon and the Fourth Baptist Church family will come to us that afternoon.
