Thank you to everyone who participated in our Black History Moments during the month of February. Special thanks to Sis. Jackie Parker and Sis. Joyce Parker for setting up the "Meet The People" Skit on the last Sunday of the month.

Deacon Parker is looking for volunteers to assist him in painting the sanctuary. Please speak with him for further info.

The Next AfterCare Meeting will take place on March 11th and March 25th at 7 PM.

Join us March 27th for our Easter Sunday Service at 11:30 AM. The Youth Ministry is asking for candy donations for our Easter Eggstravaganza which takes place during Children's Church service.

The Emma F Gregory Missionary Ministry will celebrate its anniversary on April 10th at 2 PM. Our guest church will be Union United COC.

The Women's Choir will be participating in a Gospel Concert at Saint Pail Church of Christ on April 19th.

Lady Cyndi will be licensed into the ministry on April 23rd at 2 PM, at Union Zion Baptist Church in Ware Neck (Gloucester VA).

Pastor Marc and the WABC family will travel to Mount Zion BC on April 24th at 2 PM for their Diaconate Ministry Anniversary. Ushers, Choir, and Leaders are asked to be in attendance.

The Deacons Ministry meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7 PM. The Deaconess Ministry meets on the 1st Saturday of the month at 1 PM. The Missions Ministry meets on every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:30 AM. Choir Rehearsal are held each Saturday at 2 PM; with the exception of the Men's Choir which meets on the Friday before the third Sunday at 7 PM.

What's Happening at WABC

Summer break has ended! Pastor Marc would like to thank Rev. Clyde Lacewell, Rev. Lisa Wilson and Dr. Joseph DeLong for speaking in his absence during the month of August.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Backpack Drive this year. Special thanks goes out to Rita Sears and Minister Latasha Williams for their hard work.

Noon Day and Evening Bible Study (7 PM) has resumed.

The Deacon's Ministry meets every second Tuesday of the month at 7 PM. The Male Ushers will meet on the Thursday before the third Sunday at 6:30 PM just before the Male Choir rehearsal at 7 PM.

Choir rehearsal is held each Saturday at 2 PM.

The Missionary ministry meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:30 Am. Deaconess meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 1 PM.

Homecoming is set for September 20th.

Fall Revival is scheduled for September 21st through the 24th. Our guest church on 21st through 22nd is Pastor Singleton and the Greater Mount Zion BC, church family (Chesapeake VA). Our guest speaker the 23rd and 24th is Pastor Mike L Thomas of First Baptist Church, Dendron VA.

Pastor Marc is scheduled to speak at New Hope CCC on October 4th at 3 PM.

Join Lady Cyndi on October 3rd at 8 Am at Mt. Trashmore for the Making Strides Cancer Walk. Participants are asked to donate $24 each. Please speak with Cyndi for additional info.

Pastor Marc is scheduled to speak at his home church Greater Mount Zion BC on October 11th at 2 PM.

The Deaconess Ministry will host "Books of The Bible" fundraiser on October 18th after the morning service. Please speak with Deaconess Irma Rogers or Deaconess June Ellis for additional info.

WABC will host the General Baptist Night of Prayer on October 13th at 7 PM.

The Missionary Banquet is set for October 17th at the Edmonds Center in Portsmouth. Ticket are $40 pp. Our honorees this year are Deacon Percell and Deaconess Selma Ricks.  Please speak with Deaconess Mazie Gray for additional info.

A mandatory Missions Ministry workshop has been scheduled for October 24th at 10 AM. Please speak with Pastor Marc for more info.

Our 77th Church Anniversary is scheduled for October 25th.

Fall Fest is scheduled for October 31st.

Upcoming Events at WABC

Until further notice Sunday School at WABC will start at 9 AM and Sunday Morning Worship Service will take place at 10:30 AM.

The Youth Advisory Team meets this afternoon at 6 PM.

The Emma F Gregory Missionary Ministry will celebrate its anniversary this coming Sunday at 2:30 PM. Pastor Willie Dickerson and the Union Zion Church Family of Gloucester VA will be our guest.

Pastor Marc graduates from Virginia Union University on May 9th. If you would like to travel with us that day to Richmond please speak with Deacon Caffee.

WABC Ladies get ready to celebrate our Annual Women's Day Celebration on May 17th at 10:30 AM. Our guest speaker is Minister Jacqueline Blackett.

Family and Friends Day is May 30th and 31st. We will host a picnic on the 30th and Sunday service during the morning at 10:30 AM. Dress for both of these days is casual. We encourage everyone to invite their family and friends to this special event.

Upcoming Events at WABC

Join us Sunday mornings at 11:30 AM for service. Free coffee and donuts are served in between our morning service and Sunday school.

Noon day and Wednesday night bible study's have resumed. Join Pastor Marc in the evening's at 7 PM for studies related to our Sunday service message.

The Women's Ministry Girl Nite Out has been postponed.

The Men's Ministry will host a Men's Night at WABC on March 13th at 7 PM. Join the men for food, and fellowship. Our very own Deacon Ed will speak to the men that evening.

WABC will host the initial sermon for Latasha M Williams on March 15th at 2:30 PM. Please join us.

March is a Month of Service at WABC. Please speak with Pastor Marc for additional details.

Anyone wishing to attend Pastor Marc's graduation in Richmond on May 9th should sign up in the fellowship hall after morning service.

The mandatory training session for the Ushers and Hospitality Ministry has been postponed until April.

The Emma F Gregory Missionary Circle Ministry will celebrate its anniversary on April 26th at 2:30 PM. Our guest will be Rev. Willie Dickerson and the Union Zion BC family of Gloucester VA.

The Youth Advisory Team will meet on March 16th at 6 PM.

Join us Sundays at 11:30 AM for our Sunday morning service. Free donuts and coffee are served just before service begins.


The Executive Board Anniversary and Installation of Officers will take place this Sunday at 2:30 PM. Our guest is Rev. William Harris and The Mount Olivet Church Family will be our guest.



 There will be a Church Conference on January 27th at 7 PM.

A new 2015 Church Directory will be distributed at Church on Sunday. If you have not submitted your contact info please do so by this Wednesday.

Wednesday noon and evening bible study's have resumed. Noonday Bible Study is facilitated by Jenette Sapp. Join Pastor Marc at 7 PM as we discuss topics from his weekly sermons.


New Members classes will begin in February on Wednesday nights at 6 PM. Please speak with Pastor Marc for more info.


21 Days of Prayer will begin this Sunday at WABC. You can pick up a prayer guide after service.

Upcoming Events at WABC

Thank you to the choir, ushers, congregation and leadership of WABC for supporting the Harrell Family during their time of loss this past Friday at Deaconess Florence Harrell's Homegoing service.

Great job by the Trustee’s ministry at our “Trunk or Treat” Fall Fest Friday night. 

Thanks to the generous donation of candy we were able to bless the children at WABC 

who attended as well as youth in our neighborhood! Special thanks to Edward Flores Sr 

for donating hotdogs.  

Lady J asks that the Women of WABC mark their calendars for Friday December 12th

 at 7 pm for our year ending Girls Nite In. The women's ministry will be hosting A 

Contagious Christmas Party! This free event is open to women of all ages. 

We just ask that you RSVP by November 30th so that we can prepare in advance.

The Deaconess and NDBS will host a fundraising event on December 13th and 20th. 

More details will be forthcoming by Deaconess Jenette Sapp. 

Coming in 2015 Pastor Marc has set up several training sessions for the

 ministries here at WABC. There will be a mandatory training session for Deacons

 and Deaconess on Sunday, January 4th immediately following the morning service.

Pastor Marc and Lady Cyndi will celebrate their 6th Anniversary at WABC next Sunday! Rev. Larry Copeland, Associate Minister at New Hope BC, Chesapeake will speak in the morning. Rev. Sammie Logan and the New Hope BC family will be our guest that afternoon at 2:30 PM.

Senior Appreciation Sunday is November 23rd! After the morning service seniors at WABC will be treated to dinner at the Golden Corral on Kempsville Rd in Virginia Beach, VA.

Mark your calendar for the following meetings. The Missions Ministry will meet on November 8th at 10:30 AM, and the Deacons Ministry will meet on Tuesday November

11th at 7 PM.

November 30th is the last Baptism to be held in 2014. If you are a candidate for baptism please speak with Pastor Marc.

The Deaconess Ministry meets this Saturday at 1 PM. The Missions ministry meets on Saturday October 11th at 10:30 AM. The Deacons Ministry will meet on October 14th at 7 PM.

Elizabeth Harrell and Thomasine Flores will be honored at the Missions banquet on October 18th at St. Marks Missionary Baptist Church at the Edmonds Center.
